What is Periventricular Nodular Heterotopia (PvNH)

PvNH is a condition in which neurons do not migrate properly during the early development of the fetal brain. Some neurons fail to migrate to their proper position and form clumps around the ventricles. Affected individuals can have mild intellectual disability, difficulty with reading and spelling (dyslexia), severe brain malformations, small head size (microcephaly), developmental delays, recurrent infections, cardiovascular abnormalities, respiratory and gastrointestinal issues, tube fed as well as other problems

Jeans for Genes is a big part of our lives as we rely on the research team to find a cure so that kids like Iluka won’t have to live with Periventricular Nodular Heterotopia anymore. Every child deserves to live a healthy life, please support our cause and fight with us.
