On Friday 1st August, Kimberly-Clark Australia (KCA) participated in the Jeans for Genes campaign with employees volunteering as Genies selling merchandise across the country and participating in various fundraising activities throughout the day.
In total KCA raised $22,700 across the country and had 55 employees volunteering on the day!
In Brisbane, our star genie Phyllis letter dropped local businesses and extended an invitation to the local Federal Member of Parliament to join our 8 volunteer genies on the day. They ended up raising $5,725 at Central Train Station assisted by a group of students from Sheldon College and Andrew Laming, Federal Member for Redlands! An amazing effort for such a small office.
At the Milsons Point Head Office, employees hosted a morning tea in the Foyer of Kimberly-Clark House with over 350 KCA’ers and other tenants enjoying coffee from our coffee cart and barista and an incredible assortment of donated cakes, muffins, cookies, slices and scones, generously donated by 15 local businesses. Milsons Point employees also held a raffle and participated in a “design a placard competition”.
Other fundraising activities included, the Adelaide office holding a BBQ and Ingleburn Mill having a cake stall.
