Workplace giving is one of the simplest, most tax efficient and cost effective ways to donate to a great cause such as Jeans for Genes.
How does it work?
Workplace giving (also known as payroll giving) enables you to make automatic regular donations from your pre-tax salary, which results in an immediate tax reduction.
|
|
How you can get involved?
Ask your employer’s Payroll Department if they currently offer a workplace giving program, if so then simply join the current system and fill out a workplace giving authorisation form.
|
If no program exists why not suggest to your workplace that they establish workplace giving today. Download our printable brochure containing more information about the program and the many benefits to employers, employees and Jeans for Genes.

Matched giving programs are when organisations provide dollar matching for employees’ cash donations (including workplace giving), fundraising activities, and/or employees' time to great causes such as Jeans for Genes.
How to get involved in matched giving?
- Single gifts – if an employee gives $20 to Jeans for Genes , so does the organisation
- Fundraising activities – the organisation will match the money raised by staff from putting on events and collecting for Jeans for Genes
- Employees' time – the organisation 'pays' employees for volunteering their time with a donation to Jeans for Genes
Benefits of matched giving
It boosts morale and encourages team building by rewarding
employees for their generosity
Flexibility – you can allow your staff to choose the charities you
support, or nominate a Charity of the Year
It raises your company’s profile and generates positive PR
