Team BOC once again throw their support behind the Children’s Medical Research Institute, supporting Jeans for Genes Day, Friday August 3.
Andrew Jones and Simon Wills carry the Jeans for Genes Logo on the front bumper of their Team BOC BF Falcons at Queensland Raceway.
“We hope, by running the Jeans for Genes logo on the Team BOC Falcons, that we can raise awareness for this vitally important cause,” said Andrew.
Andrew lost his brother to a very rare genetic disorder Juvenile dystonic lipidosis. Since then, he and his parents have always looked to help the Children's Medical Research Institute wherever possible.
“The Children's Medical Research Institute conduct research in so many areas of genetics. Children with leukemia, muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis and many other disorders are truly helped by the research they conduct, with the money raised through events like Jeans for Genes Day,” added Andrew.
Around Australia on August 3, volunteers will be out and about, wearing their favourite jeans, and selling items to raise funds for Jeans for Genes Day.
