2006 Do it with Denim

Do it with Denim

Congratulations to Leanne Lim, the Do It With Denim Jeans for Genes National Winner for 2006. Leanne is a fashion student at Swan TAFE in Western Australia. Her beautiful garment was inspired by underwater cinematographer, Brenton Dean and also the Leafy Seahorse which is uniquely Australian.

Congratulations also to our runners up, Cecilia Gonzalez, St George TAFE, Sydney, Monica Singh, Box Hill TAFE, Victoria and Emma Knieriem, Canberra Institute of Technology.

The competition was a great success as a whole with 300 students entering the competition nationally. A BIG thank you to all of the students who entered and also to our sponsors, particularly Westfield Shopping Centres, who hosted wonderful exhibitions of the garments throughout Australia.

This years Do it with Denim Competition theme was Great Australians.
