Meet the Jeans for Genes Team
Ever wondered who is behind the Jeans for Genes campaign! Meet the team who, together with you, make Jeans for Genes one of the most successful fundraising campaigns in Australia.
Julijana Trifunovic, National Campaign Manager
Julijana is the creative force behind the Jeans for Genes campaign.
Each year it is her ideas that sees the campaign offering fresh, new and funky merchandise. With her incredible wealth of fundraising experience, she is the reason the campaign is adopted by thousands of retailers, companies and individuals Australia wide as their charity of choice to support.
Now in her 5th year at Jeans for Genes, the campaign gets bigger and better every year with new fundraising initiatives like Do It With Denim and Jamm for Genes. Julijana focuses much of her time building positive relationships with Jeans for Genes supporters, suppliers and sponsors.

Kelly Morgan, National Campaign Assistant (part-time)
Kelly Morgan has returned to Jeans for Genes from maternity leave after giving birth to baby genie 'Tait'. She re-joins the team as a National Campaign Assistant part-time and will be focusing her efforts on making Jamm for Genes in 2008 bigger and better. It is great to have you back!
Melissa Nassif, National Campaign Assistant
Melissa keeps Julijana and the rest of the team organised and up to date with all important Jeans for Genes issues.
Mel is often the first point of contact for retailers and other supporters of the campaign.
Her talents and skills have seen the complete redesign of the Jeans for Genes website which is now more user friendly and interactive.
Even though Mel only started at Jeans for Genes in December 2006, already she is leaving her mark as an asset to the fundraising team. |
Christine McGee, Special Events Manager
Most people think Jeans for Genes is a one day event. Think again! Throughout the year a variety of events are organised in order to raise funds for Children's Medical Research Institute.
Chris is the team member who makes events happen from start to finish. Her skills have seen successful activities such as Simon Upton's "Women" Exhibition; the VIP Fashion launch, the Jeans for Genes Mother's Day Lunch with Kylie Kwong and the Jeans on the Greens Golf Day (to name but a few) come to fruition.
She is the number one person behind the scenes of the annual Celebrity Jeans for Genes Art Auction and Dinner and is keeping everyone in the dark as to what she is planning for the next event! |
Lynda Dave, Genie/Volunteer Coordinator
Unlike the popular storybook, our Genies don't come out of a bottle.
Rather, our special volunteers are recruited from companies, schools and the general community by the creative strategies put together and designed by Lynda.
She finds generous people who donate their time to wrap gifts at MYER; pack gift bags; sell badges on Jeans for Genes Day and come into the office to help with mailouts and other administrative tasks.
