Jamm for Genes is a great initiative that gives wanna be musicians the chance to showcase their talent while at the same time raising funds for Jeans for Genes.
Schools across Australia hosted Jamm for Genes events at school raising thousands of dollars for the Children's Medical Research Institute. All proceeds raised at these jamms came directly to Jeans for Genes.
It's not too early to start planning your school's Jamm for Genes event for 2008. Suggest to your SRC or Charity Committee that they include a Jamm on the school's calendar for first week of August 2008.
Schools can host an inter-schools competition or show with other local schools in the area; or organise a school dance or talent contest. There are so many FUN ideas to try. Watch this space for information about Jamm for Genes 2008.
