2008 Jeans for Genes Design Awards - Results
CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of both categories of the 2008 Do It With Denim Jeans for Genes Design Awards. The theme for 2008 celebrated 50 year of the Children’s Medical Research Institute “A Celebration in Gold”.

Dragana’s contemporary and fashionable garment, titled “Midas Touch” , was inspired by Egypt’s 50th Anniversary Celebration of becoming a Republic.

Taree’s design titled “A Celebration of Life” is inspired by the 50th Anniversary of the Children’s Medical Research Institute – a symbol of hope and optimism given to those families who are affected by genetic disorders.

Ingrid’s garment titled “NASA” was inspired by 50 years of space exploration. This dress was designed so the silhouette of it is similar to that of a launching rocket.

Jacob’s design, titled “PEACE”, was inspired by the 50th Anniversary of the Nuclear Disarmament Movement Symbol which later became recognized as the “peace” symbol.
