2007 Jeans for Genes Design Awards - Results

CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of all categories of the 2007 Do It With Denim Jeans for Genes Design Awards with this years theme of 'Dare-Devil Denims'.

We would like to thank all students who entered this year and mention that our expert panel of judges all agreed the quality of the entries was fantastic, which made their job of picking the winners that much harder!

FASHION CATEGORY

WINNER: Cyan Reign

'Flight of the Aviator'





Cyan's contemporary and edgy garment was titled "Flight of the Aviator', which was inspired by Amelia Earhart.

'Dita Von Teese'





Leanne's gorgeous little denim number was inspired by the famous burlesque performer, Dita Von Teese.

Brooke Withers
'Coco Chanel'





Brooke has designed the Modern day Interpretation of Chanels Little Black dress which is titled 'Coco Chanel'.

This extravagant and beautiful gown was inspired by Marie Antoniette and other woman's clothing and from this era.

'Gene Therapy'





Mary's creative and unique masterpiece titled "Gene Therapy" which portrays relaxation, individuality and non conformity.

'Chaise for Skase'





Together, Angela and Deborah created this funky and interesting piece titled, 'Chaise for Skase', which was inspired by Christopher Skase.

Alyssa was inspired by Moulin Rouge when creating this beautiful denim gown.
