The Children's Medical Research Institute is mostly dependant on private funding to ensure its continuity and to fund its research.
Jeans for Genes is the major fundraiser of the Children's Medical research Institute and holds fundraising events during the year from Golf Days, to gift wrapping, to dinners and offcourse Jeans for Genes Day.
However, there are many fun and creative opportunities where YOU can help fundraise for Jeans for Genes on your own.

Gift of Giving
Trying to find a unique gift for that someone special?
Looking for a meaningful gift for loved ones or colleagues?
You can purchase a "Gift of Giving" gift card and help create a healthy life for all children.
The Gift of Giving Program allows you to make a donation to Jeans for Genes in a loved ones name. It can be a Christmas or Chanukah gift; a gift to celebrate a birthday or anniversary; a gift for a Christening or birth of a baby; a gift for a graduation; a gift in memory of a loved one; or for any occasion you wish to acknowledge.
Jeans for Genes will send a letter and beautiful card to the person you nominate, detailing that you have made a donation in their name in celebration of their special occasion. Personalised wording can be included. A copy of the letter and certificate will be sent to you.

Workplace Giving
Support Jeans for Genes by choosing to regularly donate money through your workplace. Is one of the simplest, most tax efficient and cost effective way to donate. Did you know if you donate $20 a month it will only cost you $13.70* and Jeans for Genes will receive the full $20. Matched Giving
Encourage your employer to agree to match dollar for dollar the amount you raise for Jeans for Genes. Express to your employer that matching money raised is a great way for the company or organisation to embrace the concept of social responsibility. It is also a good idea to publicise your fundraising story on the company intranet or newsletter. Click here for more information.
Function for a Cause
Is your company or school holding a function during the year? It could be a Christmas party, annual dinner, graduation, staff party etc. Why not attach a fundraising component to your function and give more meaning to your celebration.

Once you have discussed your function with Chris, you will be sent a Function Information Kit which will include a fundraising sanction letter; guidelines for the use of the Jeans for Genes logo; a checklist to help you with your promotional material etc.
Jeans for Genes will send you a Certificate of Appreciation following your function.
Instead of giving platters,socks, photos frames and other useless items, Karma Currency allows people to give the gift of charity gift vouchers.
